No, this unit should not be mounted in the wall. Due to the ventilation fins being on the sides of the unit, it would not receive proper air flow to work effectively encased in a wall.
Come on folks, you have to read the description. It requires a 230v circuit which is not the standard household outlet/circuit, so the plug will be for 230v which is not the same as for the standard household 110v circuit.
An electrician could probably install a 230v circuit for this air conditioner ($$).

Actual is 19 1/2 ” wide…plus about an inch on each side..(The ‘filler’ that is attached to make it fit larger window width. An inch on each side, is at it’s smallest) Height is about 12 inches plus about an inch on top for the lip that holds onto the window. Hope this makes sense. I have this and I love it!
I think that is an optional opening for a tube to direct the flow of condensate (water) away to a drain. But read up on the “Slinger Fan” in the unit. I have no dripping of water from my unit. The fan that LG has designed actually picks up the condensation from the base and uses it the cool the evaporator. Again, no water drips from my unit, it is dispersed into the air.
