I did have to re-tap the sleeve to accommodate the Big Maxx orifices… but that’s ok. Good fit for either ProCom or Big Maxx heaters. This heater can run on a gas grill propane tank. Make sure the propane conversation kit has been installed and then you’ll need to use a grill hose that has the regulator on it. Then you’ll have to change the fitting after the regulator.
Mine did the same thing after not even 2 years. I always had to pull the hose off the switch then stick a paper clip through the orifice. Then I realized the opening was getting clogged. Since it has the blower motor for exhaust I adjusted my pipe to angle down ever so slightly instead of up and it’s worked fine ever.
No thermostat. But, you don’t need to deal with finicky milivolt thermo’s .. this unit uses 24vac supplied by the heater to use with your supplied thermostat.
We just had our heater installed in our 12 x 20 garage and the ceiling height is probably 7 ft. We have it set at 55. I am sure this would more than heat your area. My installer told me that I could of used a smaller unit. Hope this helps you. We love ours.
It requires a double wall “ b-vent “ flue system . The bvent has a single wall connector piece to start the flue off at the unit itself.
Somewhere it was said to be “self-venting,” but in the manual it says: “Unit heaters must be vented in compliance with all local codes or requirements of the local utility, the current standards of the (American) National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1

To answer your question, this stainless steel horizontal vent kit allows Category 3 Unit/Utility heaters to comply to both the Canadian Standard (S636) and the US Standard (UL1738). It meets all of the latest 2012 building heating codes for using category III.
You can get more pipe if needed and be sure you get the proper connection to the heater! It will have three holes to screw it onto the heater vent then rubberized connections the rest of the way
I have a spare after my battle with the Mr Heater.
It actually terminates in a T that is uncapped at both ends. You can see it in the picture on the upper left side. Mine is oriented with the openings up & down (do not remember if orienting side to side was an option) . Have never had any issues with it.
YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THE ORFICES OR THE RIGHT SIZE I COULD SEND YOU A PICTURE OF THESE TO COMPARE . THEY ARE WAY TO BIG FOR WHAT I NEEDED. DIDN”T TRY IT IN MY OUTSIDE GRILL. . SORRY HOPE T HIS HELPS. I NEEDED ONE A 1/4 OF THIS SIZE.SO I WAS LED WRONG AND SENDING IT BACK I HOPE.
