I don’t know about glass “doors”, but definitely glass windows. The instructions are in the manual it comes with. However, I didn’t have to actually install it into the window. I just clamp it in between the glass window and wall. That way I can remove and wheel it out of place whenever I need.
It’s more than venting. It needs to discharge water that it pulls from the air. I vented mine permanently through the wall with a 6″ vent. I discovered its “self-drying” feature was totally inadequate, so I had to drill a hole through the wall to put the tube they included through to the outside. The unit is designed to vent to the outside.
According to the web page, it can use 660 watts when running. Realizing that may not be a particularly helpful number, I can tell you that when I switched from my old 8000 BTU units to these last summer, my electricity usage went down. We ran them on the power-save mode and in addition to being really quiet, we stayed quite comfortable. There aren’t that many other 8000 BTU units that can match their efficiency.
