Striker Mike Purchased a paint measuring cup and review that “Nice mixing cup with easy-to-read mixing ratio markings” I bought these because I was tired of using whatever plastic containers I was able to salvage from the kitchen – yogurt containers, etc. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cup material and the fit of the lids.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Yes! When you’ve finished pouring your projects, wipe off your cup and wand with dry paper towels. If the resin has dried in your cup, roll it between your palms to release it, then pick it out with your fingernail.

Paint mixing is the activity of combining paint components or colors to create a workable substance with the desired color. The components used in paint mixing are determined by the purpose of the product to be created.

That is why most people use mixing cups, which, like measuring cups, have all of the ratios printed on the side. Measuring cups are used to mix paint and other preparation ingredients such as clear coats, paints, and fillers.

The presence of mixing ratios on the side of the cup makes it easy for painters to mix paint in the proper amounts, saving time and decreasing waste.

Indeed, the cups are composed of a long-lasting and reusable plastic that can survive the harsh chemicals found in paints and solvents.

The cups may be used to mix a variety of paints, including water-based, oil-based, and solvent-based paints. Indeed, the cups stack, making them easy to store in a cupboard or on a shelf without taking up too much room.

These are for mixing paint, activators, and thinner. Allows mixing various ratios of up to 4 liquids. The highest ratio is 5:1. I’m not familiar with 2 stroke motorcycle ratios but my chain saw is 40:1. So it wouldn’t work for that. I’m not sure how well the plastic will hold up to gasoline either. So I wouldn’t recommend it for that.

Stamped with a 5 inside a recycle symbol. Also with the berryplastics.com website. I mix polyurethane and silicone rubbers in them and the waste material left on the containers releases them easily after setting. Clean with alcohol afterward, good as new.

There is a sharp corner between the cup sides and the bottom which is flat for about a 1/2″ then it is raised approx. 1/32″ in the center I imagine to stiffen. I have been using these cups for quite a while and have never had a problem with epoxy resin not getting a complete mix due to the slightly raised center evidenced by completely cured residue in the bottom of the cup, also they are strong.
