You may be able to – it does appear to be a wood surface. If it was me – I’d try it on the underside and see the reaction. If successful, then try a portion of the top’s edge – and see how well it covers and then appears. Here where I live it is hot all the time and I think it may discolour over time – making the table not to pretty. IMHO
Yes, the chairs do fit under the table. But the table without the leaf is still big. We don’t have the leaf in either. Double check the measurements for your space. It is a beautiful table.

Actually, both circle and oval dining tables are round. Round means “shaped like or approximately like a circle or cylinder.” If you want a more precise search, try adding the take size Ie. 64′ round table. Good luck!

Extremely heavy to lift rightsized up after attaching base to bottom. You will need 2 people to do. The top is also fragile. Mine came with a scratch on the edge. I bought a wood pen and coloured it in after getting a partial refund from Amazon for the damage.
